Yes it is actually. You may use Windows 7 ISO verifier to verify either your downloaded ISO is valid or not. No need for you to compare hash or SDA-1. It will do automatically with its known valid hash key (its databsase). The above method can be used at any files or iso (not limted to windows 7 only).

Yes, the official release is October 2009. I do not download em from digital life one. The one I use (both version), I put up the link in the original post (TPB). At least I can assure you that the torrents (up there) 100% untouched.

hi this is not working. im going to say that i downloaded windows 7 RC from Microsoft website and tried to verified using ISO verifier. but it shows that its a invalid ISO. i cant believe. i directly download from microsoft site. shall i know which is fake. ISO verifier or downloading microsoft website.

The information published by Melanchthon will allow users to compare the MD5 and SHA-1 hash checksum values of any Windows 7 ISO images with the official SHA1, MD5 and CRC hash checksum values. If the values coincide then users have a guarantee that the downloads they checked are in fact the original ISO images of Windows 7 provided by Microsoft and that the files have not been tampered with in any way.

Save the planet, burn ONE dvd of this, instead of a 32 and a 64, this is BOTH. only 3.47 GB (3,735,056,384 bytes) note the download torrent is slightly larger due to to small text files. the md5 stated is for the ISO itself.

I personally like the options of having multiple languages, and not having to download them. However, since this AIO passes windows checks and does all updates and service packs, etc, with the optional languages also being able to be installed as updates, I simply use this AIO.

But if you are not sure about it, you can re download the original ISO from official download links, i have the link list on my blog, just check it if you are interesting, all the links there is from the official microsoft.

On December 27, 2008, the Windows 7 Beta was leaked onto the Internet via BitTorrent. According to a performance test by ZDNet, Windows 7 Beta beat both Windows XP and Vista in several key areas; including boot and shutdown time and working with files, such as loading documents. Other areas did not beat XP; including PC Pro benchmarks for typical office activities and video editing, which remain identical to Vista and slower than XP. On January 7, 2009, the 64-bit version of the Windows 7 Beta (build 7000) was leaked onto the web, with some torrents being infected with a trojan. At CES 2009, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced the Windows 7 Beta, build 7000, had been made available for download to MSDN and TechNet subscribers in the format of an ISO image. The Beta was to be publicly released January 9, 2009, and Microsoft initially planned for the download to be made available to 2.5 million people on this date. However, access to the downloads was delayed because of high traffic. The download limit was also extended, initially until January 24, then again to February 10. People who did not complete downloading the beta had two extra days to complete the download. After February 12, unfinished downloads became unable to complete. Users could still obtain product keys from Microsoft to activate their copies of Windows 7 Beta, which expired on August 1, 2009.

In order to comply with European antitrust regulations, Microsoft has proposed the use of a "ballot" screen, allowing users to download a competing browser, thus removing the need for a version of Windows completely without Internet Explorer, as previously planned. In response to criticism involving Windows 7 E and concerns from manufacturers about possible consumer confusion if a version of Windows 7 with Internet Explorer were shipped later after one without Internet Explorer, Microsoft announced that it would scrap the separate version for Europe and ship the standard upgrade and full packages worldwide.

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) was announced on March 18, 2010, with a beta being released on July 12, 2010; the final version was released to the public on February 22, 2011. At the time of its release, it was not made mandatory. It was available via Windows Update, direct download, or by ordering the Windows 7 SP1 DVD. The service pack is on a much smaller scale than those released for previous versions of Windows, particularly Windows Vista.

I had previously provided direct links to download windows 7 beta RC,but Microsoft has stopped providing beta downloads from October 21, 2009.So this is your last chance to get the download directly from Microsoft.

Today we officially handed off the final release (RTM) of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) to our OEM partners. On February 16th Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 will be available for MSDN and TechNet Subscribers as well as Volume License customers. On February 22nd, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 will become generally available for folks to download via the Microsoft Download Center and available on Windows Update.

I ran the patch (downloaded zip-file here today, hope it was the latest) , but I cannot establish a RDP connection. Before SP1 it worked with the earlier workaround. Attached the screendump after patching. Can someone advise me? Many thnks!

I am delighted to have found this forum, but I am having a great deal of difficulty following the event timeline. I note that the forum started a couple of years ago, and the process of providing these neat capabilities has evolved a good bit since then, especially as Microsoft changes the build numbers and introduced SP1. So I would find it very helpful if someone could summarize and provide the link for the various download packages available and describe what situations they might be used for. In my particular situation, I have two W7 machines both running Home Premium, and neither has SP1 applied. On one of them(32-bit) there have been NUMEROUS attempts to apply it, but it fails every time. On the other one(64-bit) it is not selected by Microsoft updates as important, so I have not selected it myself. So I am having problems determining which patch to apply, and whether I will have to make a second application of a patch if I do finally apply SP1 to either OS. 2ff7e9595c
